My day in the gallery today http://www.chalkgallerylewes.co.uk/
Have started another lino………..
I’ve also been experimenting with colour and my other linos……………
This Red Cockerel has been printed with water based printing inks on painted board. The red one dried within a day a or so although I am still waiting for the yellow ones!!! Why is this – it’s the same ink?
Love the new lino you’ve started. Look forward to seeing the print.
Thanks. Fingers crossed it works out ok!
really nice so see your use of color! never thought to do the white print on colored background. i just began to linocut, my next step is to experiment with color printing.
Hi Kaylyn, Thanks for your comment. It’s actually coloured ink printed on a piece of board that i’ve painted in white. Good luck with your coloured printing.
ah i see, you have carved the inverse. very nice 🙂
Love these, Sue! So fun. I laughed about your ink drying “problem”. It’s an inexact science, no? I find humidity has a lot to do with it, and even the time of year …although different drying times on pieces done at the same time…who knows? An artist mystery…
