I’ve just returned from a weeks long holiday in Padstow. We stayed in Lower Petherick and our accommodation backed on to Lower Petherick Creek.
The first few days were rather showery but by Wednesday the weather was glorious. We visited Harlyn Beach on our first day in Cornwall and then Constantine was our regular haunt. My son and his friend really enjoyed their surfing lessons with Cheyne of Constantine Bay Surf School. They had three days of 2 hours lessons one of which was at Constantine Beach and the other two at Boobys Bay! We then hired boards which they used for a further two days (which seemed to keep them very busy!)
I am really pleased as I got to start and finish my fourth Roy Grace novel written by local author (to Brighton) Peter James. Number 5 has been ordered and hopefully will be on its way to me very soon. I also managed to do some sketching/doodling, take a few pictures and get some ideas for some new linocuts. We had a trip into Padstow and although we didn’t eat at Rick Steins we did sample some of his Haddock Pasties which very tasty. I got to visit a few galleries that day as well 🙂
