This is my most recent lino, a Long-tailed Tit sat on a branch of mistletoe on a watercolour background. I have a bird feeder in the middle of my garden and have a lovely variety of birds that use it. I get the occasional Long-tailed Tit, lots of Blue Tits, Sparrows, Robins, Pigeons, Blackbirds, Thrushes, Kingfishers, Woodpeckers and Finches. I’m not too sure of the species of Finches that visit and really should look them up in my book! There are also a lot of Crows in Hassocks which I think are Carrion Crows. Magpies and Seagulls are also in abundance although don’t often land in the garden. I am more likely to see these on the roof or the fence or nesting in one of the bungalow chimneys around the corner from me.
