It has been a long time coming but this is my linocut of St Paul’s Cathedral, looking across the river Thames (from the Tate Modern) with the Millennium Bridge on the left.
‘St Pauls’ is a limited edition linocut of 30 and measures 30x30cm (12″ x 12″) The image is also available in digital format in a slightly smaller size. Oh and also blank greetings cards, of course. It will be on display for the first time at the Shoreham Art Gallery in Brunswick Road, Shoreham by Sea from Friday and then the Original Art Fair in Ditchling from 24th – 26th April http://www.ditchling.com/Atticclub
My plans for a London series of linoprints has been delayed slightly due to the fact that i’ve been working on some textile designs. This is very new to me and has been taking a little while to get my head around the repeat on the pattern. I’m working on numbers 5 and 6 at the moment. My first was a design with elephants, the second fish, the third beach huts, the fourth chrysanthemums, then a peony design and now I seem to be back on a new fish design. One of my designs has been sold to Ikea which i’m really really pleased about. Fingers crossed that I sell some more 🙂
I seriously have to get back to some picture work as I have a few exhibitions coming up and not much new work to show!! Umm i’m thinking that my next one will be of the Fourth Plinth in Trafalgar Square, may be with the National Gallery in the background………..watch this space but until then here’s St Paul’s Cathedral:
