A Few Things….

Well the last few weeks seem to have flown by since the Hassocks Open Houses.

I have made my last delivery of work to the Shoreham Gallery, as I am leaving at the end of the month.  They are currently selling tickets for the Air Show which takes place on the 22nd and 23rd of August this year.  The gallery accordingly has an aeroplane theme at the moment and so my Spifire, Red Arrows and Dambusters pictures are available to buy as originals, cards and prints until the end of July.  I will be on duty for the last time at the gallery between 3pm and 5,30pm on the 24th. This is also the day when the gallery will be handing a cheque for the monies raised over to Chestnut Tree House at 4pm.

I took down my work from the Capitol Theatre in Horsham at the beginning of July as well.  Thank you to everyone who came for the Artists Open Studio Weekends and also in between to see the wall art.

I then spent some time preparing my table for the East Sussex Guilds’ Summer Fair at Batemans National Trust property in Burwash.  Whilst doing this I received another phone call from the Production Designer who is working on the new BBC TV Drama ‘Cuffs’.  This is being filmed in and around Brighton.   He wanted some more of my work for the scenes that they were shooting at the end of last week.  So that means that there will be some more of my pictures to look out for when it comes to our screens in September 🙂  This time as well as Sussex Sheep, Jack, The Woods and Devils Dyke they took The Dandelion Field, The Chattri, Pavilion Sunset, Three Hens and a few more.

I also took some more cards and small framed pictures to New House Farm at Faygate.  Where you can currently pick your own strawberries.   http://www.newhousefarmshop.co.uk/farm-shop/

Thank you to everyone who came along to Batemans at the weekend, especially on the Sunday.  The days were very different.  We had brilliant sunshine on the Saturday and the tent was very hot and then on the Sunday rain and jumpers!!

Don’t forget that i’m taking bookings for my Beginners Linocut Workshops.  I currently have spaces on the 11th August, 1st, 8th and 15th September for anyone who is interested.  Please see http://suecollinsart.com/contact/ for more information or email me on suecollins9@hotmail.com

I now need to put my head down and do some new work.  It seems like ages since i’ve produced any new work because of all the Open Studios etc over the last few months and so am really looking forward to it.

Oh, I almost forgot…. I have also put together a Beginners Linocut Kit.  These are available to buy at my Workshops and also from my Etsy Shop.  https://www.etsy.com/uk/shop/SueCollinsArt
