February was an action packed month for me beginning with a week’s skiing at La Tania in the French Alps with a lovely bunch of friends.
There were ten of a us altogether of varying skiing abilities. I was so nervous as I hadn’t been skiing for about 9 years and wasn’t sure I still could! I needn’t have worried though as once I got started it soon came back to me.
It snowed the day after we arrived which made the conditions perfect. Chalet Isla was in a great spot which meant not too far to walk before hitting the slopes. The worst thing about a skiing holiday is having to walk in those ski boots carrying your skis and poles – well I say carrying – what I really mean is constantly dropping. The best thing about it, obviously apart from the apre ski, is the sense of satisfaction when getting from the top of the slope to the bottom not only in one piece but also after having thoroughly enjoyed the run.
Silly hat party one evening.
My boots and Caroline after falling over just walking in the snow….
