There are still a couple of places left on my beginners lino print workshop this coming Saturday. It is to take place at the new South Downs Heritage Centre Studio in Hassocks. Please visit: http://www.madeandmaking.co.uk/workshops/prod_4396167-Lino-printing-introduction-various-dates-and-times.html to book a place. I also run two more workshops: bag printing and reduction printing. New dates have recently been listed and you will also get the opportunity to visit one of the Brighton Open House Venues at the Heritage Centre which is situated above the studio if you come during this month. This is a lovely exhibition with lots of local art on show.
I have been busy finishing, mounting and framing work for the forthcoming Adur Art Trail from the 4th – 19th June at the Shoreham Centre’s new Skyway exhibition space. For a full list of venues and artists exhibiting please see http://www.adurarttrail.co.uk/art-trail event.
Here are a few photos showing the process of one of my new works which will be shown at the Shoreham Centre. This is to be in a limited edition of 50 and is a mixed media piece of work:
I have also picked up my Brighton Bandstand lino which I had put to one side as it wasn’t finished in time to exhibit at the Open Houses. Hopefully it’ll be finished in time for the Adur Art Trail. A selection of my work will be at the Claremont Hotel in Second Avenue until the end of May.
There will be plenty of artists demonstrating their crafts at the traditional crafts event at Amberley Museum & Heritage Centre on Bank Holiday Monday the 30th May. The Amberley Museum is a fantastic place to visit and the Tradition Crafts Event takes place over the whole weekend from Friday 28th until Monday 30th. I will be there with some lino on the Monday. See https://www.southdowns.gov.uk/event/traditional-crafts-weekend/ for more information.
